The State News

The State News is Michigan State University's independent student voice. As a graphic designer at The State News, I used Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop to complete many creative and production tasks in preparation for the weekly paper. Above are some of the covers and promotions I had created that were used in and for the newspaper.

The Outfield Ball Park Lofts

The Outfield Ball Park Lofts

Brand identity proposal for a downtown Lansing apartment complex.

The Outfield Ball Park Lofts sit in right field of the Cooley Law School Stadium, home of the Lansing Lugnuts. This complex is a development by the Gillespie Group built to attract those with an adventurous lifestyle.

Inspired by the apartment complex silhouette, I created an abstract, high energy logo fitting for The Outfield, the target market, and Gillespie Group's personality. Inspired by the location, I came up with the slogan "live game day, every day." Game day isn't just about a ball game. It's about an experience.

Second Stage Productions

Second Stage Productions

A logo design proposal for an up and coming Michigan State University student theatre group.

Second Stage Productions is an organization dedicated to inspiring student talents by providing opportunities and resources for student directors, designers, and actors. They put on theatrical productions produced completely by students with the support of MSU's Department of Theatre.

This logo was inspired by a mix of theatre and Spartan spirit. Go Green!

MSU Surplus Store

MSU Surplus Store

An ad campaign rethinking the message, "reduce, reuse, recycle." The MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center is rethinking the way the MSU Community disposes of unused materials to be "Spartan green." This campaign was inspired by pattern, texture, and detail.



For a campaign rebranding Coleman, my task was to direct the target market towards the winter season. These ads are focused on keeping the camping season going and overcoming the freezing temperatures for outdoor adventure, while highlighting products made by the company.

I decided to go against using the brand's fire truck red, and use a deep blue and shades of grey to emphasize the snowy season.

Buffalo Wild Wings

Inspired by the bold flavors and personality of the brand, this Buffalo Wild Wings ad campaign is focused on copy writing for the company’s signature sauces.

Besides being a mental health enthusiast, I am also a wine enthusiast. Most of the time I find myself buying wine based upon labels. Due to my love for the brand, I decided to create an ad campaign for FISHEYE Winery.

Inspired by their bold colors and patterns, I combined my own punny taglines and illustrations to bring out the personality of FISHEYE Winery.
